Keyboardist Mike Lukey recounted to me that their plan was to write and record a Christmas no.1 that would then be their pension for evermore but failed, and instead wrote and recorded what they hope could be Halloween no.1(000)!
Lukes went on to say that the song parodies of all those hits that betray the negative aspects of the heterosexual male psyche – like MAMBO NO.5, THE WANDERER, anything by SHAGGY – with their lists of the interchangeable women they’ve conquered and then disposed of, somewhere down the road.
Frankenstein’s Baby takes this dubious outlook to its logistical conclusion…
